The Cougar Education Fund (CEF), an affiliate of the San Ramon Valley Education Foundation (SRVEF), is a non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds to maintain and enhance the academic excellence at John Baldwin Elementary School.
Founded in 1999, the CEF has been dedicated to generating money through tax-deductible contributions, fundraising events and corporate matching gifts to pay the salaries of personnel that our families and staff deem important to the education of our children, but which our School District does not include. The group operates through collaboration of parents, educators, and the community at large.
As you may know, the Cougar Education Fund receives invoices for the Certificated Teachers in October and February and invoices for the Non-Certificated Teachers quarterly.
Through your generous donations at the beginning of this school year, the Cougar Education Fund has successfully raised money to fund the first installment of the salaries for the Certificated Teachers who teach Science, Music, Physical Education and Reading Intervention which totaled $49,240. We also were able to fund the first installment (from July through September) of the salaries for the Non-Certificated Teachers which totaled $21,225. The Non-Certificated Teachers include Teachers Assistants, Art, Lunch Supervision, Rainbow Room and Computer Maintenance. We should receive the second installment for the Non-Certificated Teachers (from October-December) soon.
However, in order to fully fund these important positions for the remainder of the year, we will need your continued financial support!
